The Collaborative Network has implemented some new features on our website ( designed to enhance communication and collaboration among the Network.

Join Collaboratives from their Webpage

Interested in joining one or more local Collaboratives? Potential new members can now join Collaborative mailing lists directly from Collaborative web pages. Find your local Collaborative’s web page, click “Join the Collaborative” and fill out the form with your information to join the mailing list. You will receive occasional email updates about upcoming meetings and locally-relevant information and resources. Access Collaborative web pages from the main menu at the top of the website. All you have to do is hover over the “Collaboratives” tab, and select a Collaborative from the dropdown menu to be taken to the web page. If you are interested in getting updates from multiple Collaboratives, please make sure to sign up for each list individually.

Submit Your Own Events

Do you have an upcoming event you would like to share? Members and partners can now submit their own events to be featured on the Collaborative Network’s “Events” web page. Anyone can submit an event and all ocean or coastal related events are welcome. Fill in the appropriate information such as an event name, date and time, location, additional details, and a featured image. Events will be featured once approved by the website administrator. Upcoming events are not only featured on the “Event” page but also on the homepage of the website. To submit an event, hover over the “News & Events” tab on the main menu at the top of the website, then hover over “Events” and select “Submit an Event” from the dropdown menu.


Participate in the Online Network Forum

Last but certainly not least, we have created an online community forum called the “Network Forum“. This online tool will allow members and partners to discuss topics of interest, share information and resources, post job and grant opportunities, and more. The Network Forum features four categories including 1) Career Opportunities, 2) General Discussion, 3) Grants and Funding Opportunities, and 4) Topics for Collaboratives to Address. Each category can be broken up into separate threads. For example, the General Discussion category includes a thread on tidepools and estuary MPAs. Anyone can read the forum posts but you must register as a user of our website in order to post new content. Register as a user and login directly from the Network Forum webpage. You can subscribe to get email updates about new posts in forum categories, individual threads, or select to receive email replies if someone replies to your post. Go ahead and test it out! Start a new thread, post a reply, and let’s get the online conversation going. Access the Network Forum by hovering over the “Resources” tab on the main menu at the top of the website and then select “Network Forum”.
