California State Parks invites your students to celebrate World Ocean Week with live virtual programming from Monday, June 5 – Thursday, June 8!
Without leaving your classroom, your students will travel to state beaches along the entire California coast to learn about jawsome ocean animals like sharks, octopus, jellies, marine mammals, and more! Get ready to dive deep with State Parks SCUBA divers as they explore a kelp forest habitat and all the curious creatures that call it home. Short-format ocean arts and crafts programs as well as story time read-alongs will ensure all grade levels can celebrate their love of the ocean while learning how to protect it.
Does your class want a chance to talk directly to divers under the ocean? We invite them to enter a World Ocean Week logo competition! Winners will get a special program for their class featuring the State Parks SCUBA divers the morning of Wednesday, June 7.
Space is limited in these FREE public programs, so reserve your class’ spot today! View the event calendar, access FREE educator resources, and find more info about the logo competition at bit.ly/WorldOceanWeek!
Sea you there!
