MPACN is hosting the next statewide Tidepool Working Group (TWG) meeting on Tuesday, September 16th from 11 AM to 1 PM PST. The meeting is virtual on Zoom.

In 2019 and 2020 the MPA Collaborative Network (MPACN) held 15 MPA Community Compliance Forums for each coastal county and “harmful tidepooling” was one of the top compliance concerns mentioned statewide. To support efforts of collaboratives, members, and partners to reduce harmful tidepooling, the MPACN formed a statewide Tidepool Working Group in the summer of 2022 for anyone interested in connecting across county lines and sectors on tidepool topics. The MPACN acts as the coordinating and facilitating body, but the direction and focus of the TWG is up to its members. If you have questions, ideas, concerns, presentations, or projects you’d like to bring to the group, please let us know. All are welcome!
