Explore different aspects of gardening with native plants from local experts, and get your own questions answered during a facilitated Q+A. We’ll cover the basics of gardening with natives, and then dive deeper into the intricacies of planning based on where you live, and the resources available here in the Monterey Bay. Whether you’re a natural green thumb, a new-to-natives gardener, or just curious how you might attract more wildlife to your yard, you’re sure to find something new to discover at this panel presentation! Our speakers and their presentation topics include:
- Carol Nickbarg, UC Master Gardener: Plant Communities in Monterey Bay
- Karen Laing, CNPS Santa Cruz: Gardening in the City and Identifying Best Plants for Your Experience Level
- Jackie Pascoe, CNPS Santa Cruz: Gardening at the Wildlands Interface and Prepping for Fire
