You’re invited to a student-focused symposium centered on marine and coastal research! The Coastal Marine Research Symposium is hosted by the Orange County Marine Protected Area Council (OCMPAC) on Friday, September 16 from 8am to 2pm at The Duck Club, 15 Riparian View, Irvine, CA 92612. Join a diverse group of marine protected area (MPA) stakeholders, community members, and ocean stewards in the local area for a meeting consisting of local and statewide MPA updates, networking, discussions, engagement opportunities, and more. The OCMPAC is one of 14 Collaboratives in the MPA Collaborative Network, a statewide “network of networks” working together to steward California’s 124+ MPAs. Collaborative meetings are for anyone who is interested in getting involved with marine resource management at the local level, please help spread the word and encourage involvement among your colleagues and community members!
