Join a diverse group of marine protected area (MPA) stakeholders, community members, and ocean stewards in the local area for a meeting consisting of local and statewide MPA updates, networking, discussions, engagement opportunities, and more. The Catalina Island MPA Collaborative is one of 14 Collaboratives in the MPA Collaborative Network, a statewide “network of networks” working together to steward California’s 124+ MPAs. Collaborative meetings are for anyone who is interested in getting involved at the local level, please help spread the word and encourage involvement among your colleagues and community members!

Please join us for our next Catalina MPA Collaborative meeting on Friday, June 30 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Catalina Island Conservancy (CIC) Trailhead Center (708 Crescent Ave.) in Avalon.The main purpose of the Collaborative meeting will be to suggest and review possible tweaks/minor changes to Catalina‘s MPA regulations which will be presented to CDFW as recommendations for adaptive management as part of the Decadal Management Review process.We will also be sharing announcements from the Collaborative Network and will leave time for updates from you all!
