Get out and help the count – join a bioblitz in honor of California Biodiversity Day!
Scientists want to know what lives in California’s diverse habitats, and you can lend your hand to the effort. Guided by a Reserve Naturalist, bioblitz participants will use a community science app called “iNaturalist” to collect photos of organisms in the Reserve’s grassland, woodland, and freshwater habitats. We will primarily be looking for plants, invertebrates, and reptiles/amphibians, but all species are included in the monitoring project. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or a budding nature explorer, there’s lots to discover here!
RSVP is required to maintain physical distancing guidelines – sign yourself up now at https://www.elkhornslough.org/events/california-biodiversity-day-bioblitz/
