Event Details

Tickets are now available for the Seventh Annual Environmental Leadership Summit

Summit Seven is about stewardship. It will be an all-day conference for 125 leaders of environmental organizations in the San Diego Region on Saturday, September 23, 2023. We have some great speakers lined up, and some important topics to discuss.

Keynote speaker: Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath.

PANEL 1: Taking Care of What Belongs to Everyone

In California, tidelands and navigable waters cannot be owned, they are held by the state in trust for everyone. That principle is known as the Public Trust Doctrine.

PANEL 2: Conservation and recreation: challenges needing solutions

PANEL 3: Caring for the Earth as a Career:

Employment Opportunities in Conservation.

Logistics

Thanks to generous sponsorships from the Sierra Club, the San Diego Foundation, and the Toulis Trust, we are able to keep the cost to an incredibly low $35.00 per person, including lunch. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available. More information and tickets at this link.

The Summit will be held in the Fowler Ballroom in the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center at San Diego State University. A $9.00 parking pass is required to park on-site. We recommend carpooling or taking the Green Line trolley to SDSU. If you must park, select the “Driver” ticket type to get a parking pass for the event. Parking instructions will be sent out ahead of the Summit date.
