Biography
Greg Helms works on a variety of marine and coastal conservation projects for Ocean Conservancy, including sustainable fisheries management and marine protected areas. He works to ensure outstanding implementation, monitoring and enforcement of the landmark network of MPAs along California’s coast and at California’s Channel Islands, having served on the stakeholder groups responsible for designing both networks. Greg also serves as President of Gaviota Coast Conservancy, which works to protect one of the large remaining undeveloped coastal areas in southern California. Greg works out of Santa Barbara where he enjoys exploring nature, music and technology.
