A Conversation with Community Organizations Creating Joy and Curiosity in Marine Ecosystems

In honor of Black History Month, MPA Collaborative Network’s Black Community Group (BCG) came together to celebrate joy in marine spaces. We are honored to host this panel discussion with incredible community organizations up and down the coast of California who are creating intentional spaces for Black communities to foster and rebuild our relationships with marine ecosystems. We will be joined by Bella Bonner, Founder / Executive Director of Black Surf Santa Cruz, Risa Bell, Founder / CEO of Paddle for Peace, and Chris Ragland, Founder / Executive Director of Sea League, to explore the unique nuances of creating accessible, resonant and inclusive spaces to find joy on the coast.
