As coastal access is rugged and limited in Northern California and Marine Protected Areas are spread far and wide, the best way to appreciate them may be from the air.
Back at the beginning of November First Assemblymember Jim Wood (of California’s second district), Surfrider’s California Policy Manager Jennifer Savage, and MPA Outreach Coordinator Delia Bense-Kang took to the skies for an experience you just can’t get from land.
The flight was provided by LightHawk, a nonprofit dedicated to flying for conservation.
