Join California Coastal Cleanup Day!

Take part in the state’s largest annual volunteer event
California Coastal Cleanup Day takes place on the third Saturday of each September, along more than 2,000 miles of coastal and inland shoreline.
Check the map to find a cleanup location near you, along with all the information you’ll need to volunteer this upcoming September 15th (9am to 12 pm, in most locations).
Californians care deeply about the environment and they continue to show their willingness to act by supporting the cleanup year after year. Families, friends, coworkers, scout troops, school groups, service clubs, and individuals come together to celebrate and share their appreciation of California’s fabulous coast and waterways.
California Coastal Cleanup Day is part of the world’s largest volunteer event. More than 66,500 volunteers turned out for the event in 2017, clearing 840,000 pounds of trash – all in a matter of hours.
