San Diego divers have been documenting surface water temperatures as high as 75 F in recent months.

We suspect that these same higher than normal temperatures  have been responsible for bringing in the Smooth Hammerhead sharks  (Sphyrna zygaena)  that have been documented off the coast of San Diego by SD Expeditions  and logged in National Geographic’s ‘Sharks of California’ database in recent months.
