Visit the newly updated California Coastal Monitoring Dashboard to explore the results of the South Coast Monitoring Survey! Information from more than 35 projects – including over 3,309 monitoring sites! – is now publicly available through the dashboard’s interactive tables, maps, and figures. We are thrilled to make this information about monitoring and research readily accessible to everyone.

In the dashboard, visitors can view all of the incredible citizen science work taking place throughout the South Coast. With the click of a button, discover where Cabrillo National Monument volunteers are conducting rocky intertidal monitoring and learn where Reef Check California and REEF volunteers are surveying kelp forests and rocky reefs using SCUBA, both inside and outside of MPAs.

Coordinate a South Coast monitoring project? We want to make sure your research is represented in the dashboard and encourage you to take the South Coast Monitoring Survey! Your participation will help Ocean Science Trust, our partners, and the South Coast ocean community gain a more comprehensive picture of monitoring activities and inform future monitoring planning efforts.
